Velora began in a small Brooklyn shop with one industrial machine and a stubborn belief: your clothes deserve better.
A modern atelier with old-world standards
Velora was started by Marco and Elena, two textile-school friends who were tired of dropping off suits that came back stiff, shiny, and somehow smaller. They bought a secondhand dry cleaning machine, rented a 400-square-foot shop, and rebuilt the process from scratch.
Fifteen years later, we're in twelve neighborhoods, but every garment still gets the same personal attention. No conveyor belts. No shortcuts. Just people who care about fabric, fit, and the way a clean collar can change your day.
Today, we employ 38 specialists across our shops — from master tailors to stain chemists to the kindest drivers in the city.
